Structural storage racking system manufacturer to invest $17.4 million, create 120 new jobs

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Frazier Industrial Company officials today announced the company will build a new manufacturing facility in Dyersburg. The leading structural storage racking system manufacturer will invest approximately $17.4 million and create 120 new jobs in Dyer County.

“In Tennessee, we are known for our highly skilled workforce, especially in the manufacturing sector, and it means a great deal that Frazier will be adding even more jobs to this steadily growing sector,” Haslam said. “I want to thank Frazier for its commitment to create more than 100 jobs in Dyersburg and for bringing us one step closer to our goal of making Tennessee the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”

“When a company like Frazier chooses Tennessee as the location for its new manufacturing facility, it speaks volumes to our strong business climate and optimal location that makes our state a great place for companies to grow and succeed,” Rolfe said. “I want to thank Frazier for its decision to locate new operations in Dyersburg and for creating 120 new jobs in our state and Dyer County.”

As part of the IMPROVE Act, which was passed by the General Assembly and signed to law in April 2017, manufacturing companies will have the option to use a single weighted sales factor, which will make Tennessee more competitive when recruiting new manufacturing companies and jobs.

“I want to extend our appreciation to the State of Tennessee and the City of Dyersburg for working with us on finding a home for our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Dyersburg. It was an extensive selection process, ultimately resulting in locating our tenth manufacturing facility in Dyersburg,” President of Frazier Industrial Company Carlos P. Frazier plans to build a new 175,000-square-foot facility in Dyersburg that is set to be completed in early 2018. With Frazier’s new Tennessee manufacturing facility, the company will be better equipped to service the surrounding states and its customers.

Local officials thanked Frazier for its commitment to Dyer County. “This is an exciting day for our community with the announcement that Frazier has chosen Dyersburg as the location of its newest manufacturing facility,” Dyersburg Mayor John Holden said. “With manufacturing sites across the United States, Canada and Mexico, we are elated as a community to be selected as the location for Frazier’s newest facility. On behalf of the citizens of Dyersburg, we thank you and look forward to a long-lasting and successful relationship.”

“I am very excited Frazier has decided to call Dyer County home,” Dyer County Mayor Chris Young said. “I look forward to a long and healthy relationship with them for many years to come. Dyer County residents and others from the surrounding area will have opportunities with Frazier for a rewarding career and for that we are thankful the company chose Dyer County.”
